In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
